Mixing tanks are widely used in various industries for a range of applications that require the blending, mixing and agitation of different substances. The structure and configuration could be made according to customers’ requirement based on different product production process. According to different product mixing needs, the agitator could be paddle type, anchor type, frame type, screw type, etc. The shaft sealing device is optional from mechanical seal, packing seal and labyrinth seal. Common materials include 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel. 304 stainless steel is suitable for general chemical and food applications, while 316 stainless steel has better corrosion resistance and is suitable for more harsh environments, such as chloride-containing media.
When selecting the capacity, the following factors should be considered: the amount of material to be processed, the scale of production, the mixing effect, and the space limitation. Generally, it is recommended to select a mixing tank with a slightly larger capacity than the actual required capacity to ensure good mixing effect and operational flexibility.
The sealing performance of the mixing tank is mainly ensured by sealing rings, gaskets or welding. Check the status of the sealing parts regularly to ensure there is no leakage.
During installation, ensure that the mixing tank is placed stably and avoid tilting. During operation, follow the equipment manual, avoid overloading, and regularly check the working condition of the agitator and the overall safety of the equipment.
